Trackix

The project tracker for vibe coders.

Point it at your projects folder. Trackix finds every half-built app you forgot about, works out what tools you used, and keeps score of what you actually ship. Local-first. Project tracking stays on your machine; optional external-model features have their own data settings.

Why Trackix

Built for people who start everything

You have 30 folders of half-finished genius. Trackix turns that graveyard into a scoreboard.

Scans your chaos

Point it at one folder. Trackix auto-detects every project inside, the framework, the stack, and how long it's been gathering dust.

Knows your tools

Detects what you built with, Claude Code, Cursor, plain VS Code and more, so your dashboard reflects how you actually work.

Ship Card

One brutal, shareable card: what you shipped, what you're building, what you quietly abandoned. Post it. Let the finish rate humble you.

Local-first, always

Project tracking runs locally. Optional external-model features may send context to the provider you configure; review those settings before using them.

AI on your terms

Optional AI insights with your own Claude API key or a fully local Ollama model. The free heuristic tier works with zero setup.

Desktop buddy

A little companion that lives on your desktop and keeps your current mission in sight, so "I'll finish it later" actually happens.

How It Works

Three steps. No setup rabbit hole.

1

Pick a folder

Choose where your projects live. Trackix discovers projects inside it.

2

See the truth

Every project, every stack, every abandonment, one honest dashboard.

3

Finish something

Mark a mission, track it to done, and post the Ship Card to prove it.

Questions

Before you try it

What does it scan?

A projects folder you choose. It uses files such as manifests and README documents to suggest a project's stack and status. You can edit the results.

Is a suggested status proof a project is finished?

No. Folder signals and heuristics help organise your work; review the project yourself before treating it as ready.

Which platforms are documented?

The public repository includes development and installer-build instructions for Windows, macOS and Linux. Check it for current availability.

Where can I read more?

Read the folder-scanning lab note, or inspect the public source.
