Who we are
Astax Labs is the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect, and why

Where we got your details
If we contacted you without you approaching us first, your business contact details came from a source your employer or you made public in a professional context, normally your company's own website. We do not buy contact lists and we do not use data brokers.
What we do not do
- We do not collect special category data.
- We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
- We do not use tracking pixels in our emails.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data for anyone else's marketing.
- When assessing a public website we observe only what any visitor sees. We do not send messages to your systems, authenticate, or access any data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and correspondence, 24 months from the last message.
- Prospects who do not respond, deleted after 6 months.
- Client records, 6 years after the engagement ends, for tax.
- Suppression list, kept indefinitely. It is the only way to guarantee we do not contact you again, and is itself a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
Our hosting and email providers, and for clients our accounting and payment providers. Each acts as a processor under contract. This site is hosted in the EU. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA except where a provider does so under an approved safeguard.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed, of access, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction, to object, and to data portability. Email privacy@astaxlabs.com and we will respond within one calendar month.
Because we rely on legitimate interests for some processing, you may also ask for a copy of our Legitimate Interests Assessment. We will send it.
Cookies and external services
Your light/dark theme preference is stored in localStorage in your browser. The site loads external font and icon resources and Calendly booking resources. See browser storage and external services for details.
Complaints
Please raise it with us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.
